Introduction
HushV (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a private vault of calm — digital audio, protocol, and tracker for deep sleep and focus. We built HushV to be private by design. We collect as little as possible, we do not sell data, and we do not use cookies for tracking. This policy explains what we do collect, why, and what rights you have. By using hushv.com, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date at the top will change, and continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
Data Collection
We collect only what is needed to run the site, deliver your purchase, and send the Hush Letter if you choose to join. There are three sources:
1. Plausible Analytics (privacy-friendly, no cookies). We use Plausible to understand aggregate usage — page views, referrers, and outbound clicks — without cookies, without cross-site tracking, and without collecting personal data. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, and is GDPR-compliant by design. No consent banner is needed because no personal data is stored. You can verify this at plausible.io/data-policy.
2. Email capture (Hush Letter & waitlists). If you enter your email in the Hush Letter form, community waitlist, or contact form, we store that email to send you what you requested — a preview, updates, or a reply. The email is sent to our email provider (configured via CONFIG.emailEndpoint in js/main.js — see INTEGRATIONS.md for options: Formspree, Beehiiv, ConvertKit, or Loops). We do not share your email with third parties beyond that provider, and you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email. If no endpoint is configured, the form falls back to local storage in your browser and no data leaves your device until an endpoint is set.
3. Gumroad (merchant of record). Purchases are handled entirely by Gumroad, our merchant of record. When you buy the Hush Vault Deep Sleep System ($29) or the Bundle ($39), Gumroad collects your payment details, email, and delivery information under its own Privacy Policy. We receive only what Gumroad shares with us as the seller — typically your email and purchase tier — to fulfill support requests. We do not see or store your card details. Gumroad handles VAT, receipts, and re-download links.
We do not collect sensitive categories of data, we do not profile you, and we do not combine data across services to identify you.
Cookies
HushV does not set tracking cookies. Plausible, our analytics provider, is cookie-free. The only storage we use is:
- Local storage (optional): if the email endpoint is not yet configured, we temporarily store your email in your browser’s local storage so no lead is lost. This is cleared once an endpoint is set or you clear site data. It is not a cookie and is not sent to any server.
- Service worker cache: our PWA service worker (
sw.js) caches static assets for offline use. This is not personal data. - Gumroad overlay: when you click a Gumroad checkout link, Gumroad may set its own cookies under its domain to handle the transaction. Those are governed by Gumroad’s policy, not ours.
Because we do not use tracking cookies, no cookie consent banner is required. If we ever introduce cookies that require consent, we will add a banner and update this section.
Your Rights (GDPR & beyond)
Whether you are in the EU, UK, or elsewhere, we respect your rights over your data:
- Access: you can ask what data we hold about you (typically just your email if you subscribed or purchased).
- Correction: you can ask us to correct an email or name.
- Deletion: you can ask us to delete your email from our list at any time — use the unsubscribe link or email hello@hushv.com.
- Objection & restriction: you can object to processing or ask us to restrict it.
- Portability: you can request your data in a portable format.
- Complaint: you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any right, email hello@hushv.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will respond within 30 days. For Gumroad purchase data, you may also need to contact Gumroad directly, as they are the data controller for payment information.
We retain email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Plausible aggregate stats are retained per Plausible’s retention settings and contain no personal data. Gumroad retains purchase records per its own policy for tax and fulfillment.
